POST OF PROJECT MANAGER (CONSTRUCTION WORKS)

The Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka invites applications for the position of Project Manager at the Capital Works and Planning Branch from suitably qualified candidates.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. (a)
  • B.Sc. Engineering degree (specializing in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying) from a recognized university/HEI.
  • OR equivalent professional qualifications recognized by the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL). (b)
  • Corporate membership from a recognized Engineering Institute or Institute of Quantity Surveying. (c)
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction projects, handling contracts, and managing direct labor.

SALARY SCALE:

  • Basic Salary: Rs. 113,690 – 156,410 p.m. [U-EX 2 (II)-2025]
  • Additional Allowances:
  • Cost of Living Allowance: Rs. 17,800.00
  • Monthly Compensatory Allowance: 36% of basic salary
  • Research & Development Allowance: 21% of basic salary

BENEFITS:

  • Provident Fund: 10% employee contribution; University contributes 8% (Pension Fund) + 7% (UPF) + 3% (ETF).
  • Sabbatical Leave: 1 year with pay (once every 7 years), including air passage for the employee and spouse.

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE:

  • Government employees must obtain release from their current department.
  • Pension rights from previous government service will not be maintained.
