PLANTATION HUMAN DEVELOPMENT TRUST VACANCY

The Plantation Human Development Trust (PHDT) established in 1992 is an organization trusted for excellence and committed to support the Plantation community to enhance their quality of life by providing suitable development programmes through the Main Office in Colombo and its seven Regional Offices in Badulla, Galle, Kandy, Kegalle, Hatton, Nuwara Eliya, Ratnapura, invites self-motivated, dynamic candidates for the following position.

Medical Officer Plantations

Job profile

The job involves planning, organizing, coordinating, implementing, monitoring, supervision and evaluation of health and social welfare programmes in the plantation sector. Facilitate the plantation sector by coordinating with the local health authorities & other sectors. Capacity building of different categories of social and welfare staff on the estate with the aim of improving health and wellbeing of the plantation community.

Qualifications & Experience

Local or Foreign Medical graduates with SLMC registration and having local and foreign exposure of programme management. Post Graduate qualification in Public health from a recognized university and preferably with 15 years of experience in community health care, project management & social development activities out of which at least 05 years in the plantations.

Ability to converse in Sinhala, English & Tamil would be an added advantage.

Reside within the western province conduct regular visits to plantations

Age: Preferably below 50 years.

Salary: Negotiate

The selected candidate will be employed on renewable contract basis. An attractive remuneration package including comprehensive medical scheme covering the employee and family will be offered to the selected candidate.
